Buying A New Computer

1.Consider what your computer will be used for. More basic things like surfing the internet and word processing? A lower end system is fine for this. Playing video games and more technical work need a higher end system.

2.Consider pricing, but don't go with the cheapest one you can find if you want good computer performance. Remember, you pay for what you get.

3.Ask questions. When you are shopping don't purchase anything until you are satisfied that it will meet all of your needs.

become a bigger, better and faster PDA?

New Products and Technologies Unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas

While no one knows exactly what new technology will astonish people the way the iPhone did last year, one place to get a good idea was at the 2008 Consumer
Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. Along with the final speech from Bill Gates, several new electronic trends also emerged at this year's CES.

There May Be A Way To Save Wet Laptop Computers

If your laptop computer gets wet (from water), turn it off immediately and unplug it. Turn it upside down and drain out any remaining liquid. Then take the battery out and dry it off.

Take out the screws that hold the unit together. With an absorbent, lint free cloth, easily wipe away the dampness. Don't turn your laptop back on for at least 24 hours. Make sure it is completely dry before you reassemble it and try it out. When you replace the screws make sure you do not forget any.

Use this procedure is just if your laptop is wet by water. If it was a sticky or acidic liquid, you should still remove the battery pack. Even though you might clean it with alcohol, you could damage the laptop further and it might be better repaired by a skilled computer specialist.

Three More Great Initiatives From the Trusted Computing Group

A lot of people are not aware of it, but many laptop computers come with a very advanced security chip. This chip improves the level of safety and security of the computer, applications, and the internet connection. It been specified by experts from all over the world working for many major companies through the Trusted Computing Group (TCG) initiative.
